I had a Tamron 28 on my T70, definately the best 28 I've owned.

The Tamron 24 is nice as well.
As an aside this is the only Tamron lens I have that won't work with an Adaptall 2 Canon FD mount. It won't stop down fully. It has to have the earlier Adaptall f2.4 mount or an FTB mount.

Never had any use for a 28mm when I had my 24mm Nikkor. But recently I sold the 24mm and got a 20mm. Then I picked up a manual focus Tokina 28mm to fill the gap between the 20mm and my 35mm. I also have a 28mm Soligor Pentax thread that I use with an adapter on my LTM rangefinders.
