My grandfather was a farmer and had many different tractors over the years.
I still stop and look at the old ones when I see them but never have a camera handy.
I can admire tractors any time.

I shot a couple of time exposures Sunday of an old John Deere (pre-War?) inside a barn. Waiting to see if they turned out. Will post a couple, if they do. Won't if they don't!

The cans on the stacks served two functions. One was the fun factor of watching pop off. The other was to keep rain from going down the stack. The water would reach the cylinders and damage them and the valves.

Dad had a model "D" Johnny Popper that we ran our arrigation well with for years, He could open the petcocks and get it to fire with one pull on the flywheel. I never could start that old tractor, I guess there must have been a trick to it.
