John Sorry I don't see the Tom Cruise resemblance.... and Randy......the fifth Beatle......Before they became famous, The Beatles actually did have five members for a time, so "the fifth Beatle" has been used, accurately, to describe their bassist, Stuart Sutcliffe, who left the band in 1962, and died of a brain hemorrhage shortly thereafter. John don't despair....Kamera is right....remember all the screaming girls..... ;D Bob

Damn! Missed it!! For our overseas members, the totally inept Captain Pugwash was a British institution. The adventures of Captain Pugwash and his crew, aboard their brig, the "Black Pig" have gone down in folklore. Anybody wants to hear the theme tune, it's on here - just click on "Captain Pugwash" www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/tv/siteindex/index.htmRegards - John ps I quite often have it set on my mobile phone as the ringtone

Meanwhile, back at The Beatles. The late keyboardist Billy Preston is often referred to as a fifth Beatle. He was the only guest artist to be named on the record label. I think it was "Get Back".

I think Billy Preston did a lot of work with the Beatles on their last album as a group, but I've long since forgotten any credits he had.
