This the 4X5 LF camera I built. It was an excuse to see how good a scrounger I still am. My original target was $50.00. I just barely went over that. Had to buy the paint darn it.

Dave that is still the handsomest view I have ever seen. I still have not gotten off my rear and built one but I will work on it this winter. Excellent, post some photos from it.

This the first shot I made with the camera. I've not been keeping up with my scanning. Storm damage has kept me busy. Fomapan 100, D76-1:1, lens, 165mm, with a #4 closeup lens on it.

Very nice. I'm working on a 5x7 right now and will have it done sometime. ;D
Cheers

Thats really cool. How long did it take you to build it? I'm curious about projects like these and would like to do one myself maybe this fall. Did you purchase the lens board or have it machined?

Everything was built by me, except the lens. The lens board is 1/8' hard masonite. I used 1/4" for my 300mm and 440mm lenses. There is also a Packard shutter internally. That way I can switch between barrel lenses, or shutter style without hassle.
The whole camera took about 3 days to build. I then spent a week painting and making minor adjustments to suit me.

Gorgeous camera Dave. Great, now I've gotta add one of these to my Must Do list.
