Thanks Ron,
My son happens to have the control panel of the car's 500w stereo at his home. Don't think I'll ever be able to utilise it to the full, but at the moment - as I pick up the engine, wheel and chassis noises, silence is probably a good thing.
And then there are the thoughts and songs spinning through your head:
Ridin' along in my automobile, My baby beside me at the wheel......

Just enjoy! ;D

I've always wanted an Austin Martin DB-5 like 007 drove, or an XKE Jaguar Coupe. I rode with a college professor back in the early 1970s in his XKE at 29,000 Telephone Poles an Hour, and I was sold!

Couple more pictures: You'll notice how sleek it looks. It's actually a full 4-door 5-person saloon, but the rear doors are disguised, so it looks like a two-door sports. The rear door handles are made to look like grilles at the back of the rear windows. I'm seriously enjoying it - may even get a speeding ticket for the first time since 1977! Regards - John

That Minolta AF-C looks suspiciously like an Olympus XA without the clamshell cover... I bet they are alike dimension-wise also.

Hiya Pancake!
Funny you should say that. The Yashica 270AF is the same as the 230AF with an oystershell case. But they were cutting costs at the time, and the 270AF had a lot of the features of the 230AF disconnected inside - I think so they could announce the 300AF as the all-singing, all dancing flagship of the range (by reconnecting the disabled features). But they'd lost interest in the range by the time the 300AF came along, and it doesn't have all the 230AF's features either.
The 200AF is a better camera than the 'clamshell' models, but the 230AF is the best of the lot!
Regards - John

Y'know, the amount of Minolta knowledge in this forum is astounding. I'd better be careful not to stray from my Olympus addict... er, conviction ...

They were talking about cars, you were talking about cameras. I thought maybe you had looked at the last 50 messages link at the bottom of the home page and replied on the wrong list, it happens here all the time.
