In my opinion, the best Konica camera was the Konica T3N, followed by the original T3 and T2, respectively.
Konica Autoreflex T3N - Sometimes called NT3 or New T3. Designation on the camera body still said T3 and the easiest way to tell the difference is that the T3N has a flattened pentaprism, rather than a peak, with a built-in hotshoe attachment and by a white line on the self-timer switch. The last and the best of the large Autoreflex cameras. I've had my first T3 since 1975, never had it cleaned, and it's never needed repair, and still works beautifully. If you're ever serious about getting a Konica SLR, this is the one to buy. The main improvements over the original T3 is that it came with the afore mentioned built-in flash hot shoe. Another improvement is the addition of a built-in eyepiece shutter cover to block extraneous light from entering, for such times as when your eye is not pressed against the viewfinder while taking pictures. Other minor improvements were not enough for a new designation. This new T3 came on the market in 1975 and has a weight of 26 ounces, a height of 3.9 inches, a width of 5.9 inches and a depth of 1.8 inches.

this is the same info. you gave me privately about 8 or 9 years ago.....it could not be more accurate! I am forever in your debt for that information and for getting me into Konica and more into vintage SLRS and more into photography and more into this wonderful hobby. ;D
thank you Bob

Hi, Bob:
You're welcome. It can be amazing what something done or said by someone virtually unknown can change another's life to sometimes large degrees. Hopefully always for the best.
As for Konica, few realize how good Konica cameras and lenses were and still are!

I know it isn't recarded that highly by some, but I'm quite fond of my Konica FS-1 also.

I understand. The FS-1 is a good camera by its own rights. I have 2 and do like them and enjoy them. I do however, like the T3 more! ;D

Bob:
No argument there. As you know I think the T3n is the best camera Konica ever made, as I've said here before.

I agree - ish -- but slightly prefer the T3 as I never use on-camera flash or the eyepiece blind (or even A3 as I don't use the DA, but not available in my favourite finish -- rather 'brassed' black). I also go for the T4 and the FT1.

Hello, fotobiblios: I do use flash with the T3n at times, and it's much easier with it having a hot shoe. I like my FT1 also, and mixed emotions about the T4, probably mostly because of it's smallness. I like larger cameras. Denis I agree - ish -- but slightly prefer the T3 as I never use on-camera flash or the eyepiece blind (or even A3 as I don't use the DA, but not available in my favourite finish -- rather 'brassed' black).
