I visited a thrift shop today and my bag was a nice Olympus OM-1 MD, a normal f1,8/50mm lens with dented filter ring, a mint Tokina f2,8/!35mm with 42mm mount and a Beautyflex D. The Spring has arrived ;D What is this TLR? Not much anything on the internet? . BEAUTYFLEX ON MY PAGE

Someone on this forum wrote, that he is interested/collecting Beauty cameras. I can not find it now. Here is my second beauty, a thrift shop purchase of the day. A very short description on my page : BEAUTY FLEX III

Both myself and if I remember correctly Paul collect Beauty cameras. I have no Beautyflex TLR but I do have a Super-L, Lightomatic III as well as 2- Lite III's.

Beauty? I've got two identical Beauty 35 models (which I believe was the first 35mm cameras made by the Beauty brand...correct me please if I am wrong). And I also have an identical model sold by Wards-- the Ward 35. These have no rangefinder, and because they have four-element front-cell focusing lenses (according to the instruction booklet), I'm assuming they have a similar optical design as as the Skopar lens on my Voigtlander Vito. The Beauty/Ward 35 lenses appear to be every bit as sharp as the Skopar. Ward 35: www.flickr.com/photos/21506490@N00/287429185/

Scott,
It coped pretty well with the extreme contrasty lighting in that shot.

Wards, that's a name I've got to add to my eBay search terms. I usually find more uncommon cameras are available in their store branded incarnations so I study these religiously but forgot old Montgomery Wards. Thank you so much for this. Very nice example of this Beauty 35 by the way. As Peter said, it copes nicely with this lighting. Good job.
