Yep - rained and froze again. Fell over 4 times on the way back from the pub. Serves me right - I should have fed the dog before we went!
Oh well, I've learnt how to roll over the years...
Wayne - I only got one shot of my relations over there, sat by the pool (this was in Canada) and I thought great - all in sunglasses and I never thought to ask them to take them off!
Regards - John
ps No I was still sober!

I'll take your word for it, John.
Pleased to know you're coping OK with the weather conditions up there, and hope the dent in the car wasn't too serious.
How's the dog coping with the weather? Our border collie didn't like slipping and sliding at all. She couldn't wait to get back into the warm.
Take care,
PeterW

Well, we got over 12 inches of snow since yesterday, and The Weather Channel has my part of Ohio under Blizzard Warnings.

Heard about the snow blizzards in the US on the news. Some folks have been without power for hours. Hope you too don't suffer a power loss. You and Freda stay warm old friend. Bugger the next quarter's fuel bill. If you're not alive you can't pay it. Watch out for hypothermia if you should lose power. It's deadly, and it strikes fast, so take care. That goes for everyone else on the forum. Don't be macho shovelling snow: you'll end up a dead hero. If you leave it alone it will eventually go away. It's a proven statistic that more German soldiers died in the battle for Stalingrad in 1942 from hypothermia than from Russian bullets - and they were young, fit and tough! BTW, it's snowing again here tonight. PeterW

Since I developed leg problems, Freda has taken to running the big snow blower. You should see her! She putters around until she runs out of gas. Freda said if she knew it was so much fun she would have taken it away from me long ago. LOL

Tell Freda if she runs out of snow there, I'd be happy to let her clear the cul-de-sac here! LOL! ;D

About 8,5 inch snow currently here in Vienna and still snowing. Chaos in the streets based on missing snow removal: Did a double spin with my car yesterday morning on an icy road while going to work (fortunately no damage)... MIK

John,
" Fell over 4 times on the way back from the pub "
Tch, tch. You obviously need some lessons in snow survival
Next time you get a light snow flurry and fall down, DON'T GET UP. That way you wont keep on falling. Stay down. If you get bored make snow angels and sing "Let It Snow, Let It Snow".

In another idle moment (?) I have just been looking through some of the old threads. Ah, the weather last winter. Jane and I headed off on a cruise up the Amazon in early January. We flew from Birmingham (not Birmingham, Alabama) about 100 miles from our house and travelled down in freezing conditions. A few hours later, Barbados and temperatures about 35 degrees C warmer. I quote John: Wayne
What do you mean - "No particular artistic value"? Its a North American first - not a single pair of shades in the whole gathering! LOL
Regards - John...but there is a baseball cap!
