True, but a properly set up Ford had a lot more low-end torque. Made for some interesting competition!
Th Chevies did sound good, but there was a distinctive rumble and rap to a Y-block Ford equipped with dual exhausts and glass packs that was (and still is! ;D) music to my ears.
In the end, the results usually depended more upon the skill of the driver, and proper tuning than one make being innately superior to the other. But never would I have admitted that back in my racing days!
Besides, neither one would touch my Studebaker! ;D ;D

Rachel, thanks. They don't make cars like they used to. Mind, that might be a good thing.
I need to increase my bookshelf space. I keep finding books in boxes that I've forgotten about - both the boxes and the books.
