I was going to delete this but decided to see what I could do with Photoshop. It doesn't have much going for it except, perhaps, a little cold atmosphere. Mickey

Mickey,
Never delete anything.
I have had photos which I have felt are only fit for the bin, and then I see one similar taken by some world famous photographer and everyone is in raptures about. A lot of photography, as with art, is a con. Those photos by Vivian Maier are certainly not a con. Mind sometimes even if it is a con it can be good. Your picture here might be a little cold, but I am warming to it. Tell everyone it was an early photo taken by Ansell Adams and they will rave about its quality.
Dave.

I was just looking at this photo. it has a tilting horizon, chimney just out of the sweet spot, the exposure is out and heavily if not visibly processed in photoshop. The lomo brigade would be so happy. Just imagine.......

philbirch,
Thank you for the valid criticism.
And many thanks for framing and hanging it and giving it an appreciative audience.
I almost feel like a photographer.
The tilting horizon is the roof of the house next door. If they don't tilt around here they could collapse under a heavy snow load. It was badly under exposed. And was, indeed, very heavily Photoshopped. But what is the sweet spot and where is it? PLEASE. No go Lomo. I don't strive for junk. It just happens.
You must be bored to bother with my castoffs.
Mickey

. A bit of fun Mickey, I knew you wouldnt mind. Actually the chimney is in the sweet spot. I assumed the chimney was vertical and its angle was the tilt. Notice the viewer is ignoring the Ansell Adams

Mickey: It should be titled: "A September Day in Canada."

I was watching the bats tonight on my way home from work. Its a lovely sight - not spooky at all. I like bats, one hitched a ride home with me one night. I was coming home from work on my bicycle when something scraped against my face and neck. I thought nothing of it but when I got inside and took my coat off, something flew off me. It was a pipistrelle scared out of its tiny wits. It took the wife and I ages to catch it and put it outside. We looked at it, it really was tiny and was a beautiful, delicate little animal. I wish I'd taken photos but my immediate concern was to let it free. Bats are cute but spooky on photos.
