Curt, brag away.
I'm not sure whether I have said before that I am not really a camera collector in the sense that most of you are. I have almost always bought cameras or lenses to use. Having bought one camera of a certain make, I would then usually by another so I could have one loaded with slide film and the other with black and white - or substitute colour negative for one or the other.
I must have another box somewhere or other because I have a couple of Ilocas, and Agfa TLR and several other bits and pieces that I haven't come across in years.

Most of that bunch of cameras were given to me by friends who have found a place to unload their unwanted cameras and such. My total out of pocket for that bunch of cameras was less than $20. (That part WAS bragging ) I need to piggyback on Curt's signature line! Roy

Some pretty cameras guys ! I Ihink Curt is my soul mate in matters to collecting, although my eBay purchases did`nt take on that dimension Here are some of my 2010 finds: MOM Momikon, a Hungarian Leica Copy 1954. Two Pentacon 6 fully working, bought for 4.- USD each ;D ( no joke ). A 1956 Montanus Montana with brown snake-skin covering, the camera behind is a Montanus Tina. A rare King Regula Super Automatic with interchangeable lens from 1959 with additional rangefinder. Voigtländer Inos II from 1933. RFK-1 aerial camera for 16mm complete with all accessories in a wooden military box. This is a 1950`s Russian copy of the famous German WWII Siemens gun camera. Yamato Pax M3, looks just like the Rippa ( with Tele outfit ) and the one Curt posted. Funny little cheap made Japanese. A Moscow 5 and a Moskow 2 ( ca. 5.- USD each ) to join the Moscow 3 model. They are Russian Super Ikonta copies made by KMZ. Finally I found a Viennese Reichert microscope ( got it from a German friend ) that fits my Reichert microscope plate camera. The camera was a flea market found, I found three different ones during a couple of years. MIK

Hi MIK, Some amazing cameras there. Momikon, Pentacon 6 and Moskows, wow. Where you find quality cameras, I just find average cameras in quantity. I'm jealous.

I've been thinking that I hadn't really 'collected' anything this last year, but I have acquired three Canons and a Pentax and a few lenses.
Canon 30D, EOS30, EOS 1000NF and Pentax SFXn. The last with ringflash and 100mm macro lens.

Now you all just gave me camera envy . I only got 4 'cause thats all the wife would let me get . Allthough I did sneek in an Argus CR-1 slr last night that I got at the antique mall for $13.00 , the lens was in 2 peices but every thing else worked including the meter.

Galen, I sympathize with your envy problem. This board does it to me every time...I just pop in for a quick look & before you know it, I've logged onto my local online auction and put a silly bid on an Ambi Silette kit. If my wife gets wind of this I'll be sleeping in the dog house again.

Michael, at least it's summer down there at the moment, so it won't be too cold having to sleep out. Dave.

Michael, I know what you mean, I get a dirty look every time I tell her I'm going to hit the antique stores. Then the first thing she asked when I get home is(what did you buy now)

Curt,
I must have caught the same cold as you. If I hadn't had a cold over the last week with the way I feel now I would say "I'm just about to go down with a cold." Presumably I'm not quite over it yet.
I've not been on this forum too long, but as it is titled "the camera Collector" I would hope that we see some collections, or part thereof, from time to time. There are some good web sites that I happen upon occasionally showing off a collection. Those I enjoy. What I'm not over keen on are those forums where everyone lists everything they own, down to the last accessory, on every post. This is last group is the only one I find comes in to the bragging category.
Dave.

I've been thinking that I hadn't really 'collected' anything this last year, but I have acquired three Canons ... Canon 30D, EOS30, EOS 1000NF ... If my hair wasn't already grey it would've gone grey immediately. So my cherished gear is already collectable. EOS 1000FN was my first step into the autofocus world, EOS 30 my last film camera, EOS 20D the plunge into the DSLR world.
