(From memory) 2 Minolta 7000s, motorwinder and several lenses. Bodies $25 each, lenses $15 or $75 for the lot.
Offered, by the way, by Randy in Boise.

Sounds very reasonable. I see why they did not last long.

Certainly the lot for $75, or less than £50, is good value. There is a market near to us that often has cameras for sale. The trouble is they want that much for one camera, and they are often not in especially good condition.

Dave, I have found that "antique" dealers often price the cameras using McKeown's but use the highest price regardless of the camera's condition. So, when I am on a camera hunting expedition, which is a rare occurrence these days, I carry my McKeown's in the car just in case. I can then point out the error of their ways. It works sometimes. Mickey,
I just tell them Mickey has told me that is too much, and he has got a McKeown's.

Went out hunting for cameras with a friend once, he always carry a book on prices of old cameras when shopping. I remember we were in a shop and he pointed out to the owner that the price he quoted was out of this world. He had daggers in his eyes and literally threw us out of his shop. Lesson learned, if you think that the price is too high, just walk out of the shop without any comments.

The 500mm mirror lens I bought was from a shop called Cash Generators. It was a fair price, and looked as though it had hardly been used. The sales assistant was saying that they were stopping buying film cameras as they were finding them difficult to say. Mind you, they were overpriced. I did say that some cameras were available from (reliable) online stores for, say, £8.95 - postage paid too. They were asking near to £30 for the same model of camera.

I though Ebay was setting prices these days so I just do the completed listings and take an average for the condition of the item in question. Have a Minolta 102 or 202 laying around? I've had several Minolta s but never had the top of the line when it was time to get a pro level camera I bough my used Topcon RE Super because it had the removable prism and magnified right angle viewer along with other things that made it best for copy work and did i make the slides for multimedia shows ! Those shows with 35mm slides on a 20 x 30 foot screen put most of these power point computer generated shows to shame!
