A new Yahoo Group has been created for 35mm Point & Shoot Cameras. A catagory of cameras many of us started off with and a catagory of cameras that get no respect. Anyone interested in these cameras---please check out the link to the group, listed below: groups.yahoo.com/group/plasticfantastic35mm/all the best Bob

Hi there! Welcome! I collect them as well Some of the point & shoots are too nice to just write off as not being worth collecting. We have a section here for them, and it's well worth checking out. I picked up a Yashica T4 the other day for 5.00, today I found a Canon Z115 for 1.00! Both are very capable cameras and I can't wait to test them out. The one downfall is the funky battery size, CR123A. They cost ca. 8.00 each here. I've been ordering them from China, where you can get 12 for 6 bucks with 7 or so shipping. No problems so far. Doug

I have bought cameras that I didn't care much about only because they had good batteries and I could buy the whole camera for less than the batteries alone. Over the last couple years I aquired several p&s cameras but I am trying to wean myself off them. They are cheap to buy but film and processing adds up. Some have been disappointing, like the Ricoh AF-2, which sounded like a coffee grinder. And the Olympus 330 Super Zoom is a pain to use. I do like the Canon AF35ML, though. Ron

pompiere--Yes, some are disappointing and some produce surprisingly good results. I think they deserve some recognition and respect for two reasons---1) for many of us--it was our first cameras. Which means they developed the love for photography and cameras that have brought us to where we are today. and 2) for getting the desired photo of the quick moving child, grandchild or pet---they are hard to beat.

Hi Guys ! I believe that no matter what type of camera or photographica one might choose to collect, there should be a place where we can share our interest. There has been, and always will be, since photographys' beginnings, some real stinkers made. Some are usable, some aren't. Whatever the format, maker, or whatever, I'm glad that I found a place where I can share my love for this hobby, and that's what it is, with other like minded "Camera Nuts". Doug

I've picked up and resold two or three Olympus Stylus cameras. Then sellers remorse set in and I picked up another Stylus to keep. I also have an Oly XA-3 that's a keeper.
