MIK, It took me a long time to get around to viewing it. It took me a long time to tear myself away from it. As MacArthur said, "I shall return." Thanks. Mickey

I hate this sort of link. There is just too much of interest to go through. Whole days are used up looking at wonderful photos. Shooting B&W on digital: shoot in RAW. Even when set to B&W all the colour information is there. While the photo will appear in B&W on initial viewing full colour can be restored if desired. Just to add: I bet all the different photographic methods have had their own technique. Taking a Daguerreotype would no doubt call for a different technique than using panchromatic film. 35mm available-light photography is a world away from using a plate camera with magnesium flash. Painting too has several different media available. Each medium produces the same result i.e. a picture, yet each looks totally different. I am still trying to decide which medium I like looking at the best. I would add also that colour means different things to different people. Some will find a clash where others won't. Those with synæsthesia will have a different experience with colour than will others. In the end it is a case of "You know what you like, and you like what you know." It is also the case that some will embrace nothing new and never progress. Others, meanwhile, lurch to each latest technique, never develop it properly, and can't wait for the next best-thing to come along.
