What a wealth of avian treasures you have in Florida.
Beautiful pictures.

Thanks, Breeding season down here is amazing, the colors and plumage are at their best. Why won't the forum software let anyone use the word s p oo n, LOL? I can't figure any obscene connotation.

Many years ago, before my time and I am 79, sthingy mean to neck and nothing more.
"By the light Of the silvery moon I want to sthingy With my honey I'll Croon love's tune." Sang while strumming on a ukulele.
I think sthingy is more obscene than that small ladle for consuming soup.
I wonder how she/he/it would destroy a recipe that calls for a tea sthingy of rosemary and a table sthingy of hot mustard.

Bob,
You took some outstanding pictures ! I also like to watch and photograph the migratory birds at the nort-eastern part of Austria, maybe I`ll go there next month. As I posted a picture some times ago, the birds name had also been replaced with "Sthingybill". Another not accepted bird: Woodpe...

I still don't know what else 'sthingy' means! I do believe it's an obscenity in Martian. Due to the shape of their mouths they can't say "Bleep, bleep". Mickey

I wonder if woodcock and brown booby get through.
Ah, there you go, they are not rude after all.
By the way Bob, thanks for naming them. It saves aeons of time spent trying to identify them.

Until you mentioned it, Randy, and I looked it up, the only times I ever heard it is when my two year old, sitting in his high chair, eating his cereal, dropped his poon on the floor. I never realized he was cursing. Mickey
