That isn't a connection I would think about. It's getting bad when trashy people influence language that way and it leads to censorship.

Bob, yes, it's quite ridiculous at times. I suppose if the censoring mechanisms were sophisticated more accurate filtering out could be undertaken. It would all seem to depend on the whims of the person who sets the bar. I have thought doing a survey by compiling a list to copy and paste to every forum to find out which words are acceptable on each.

Sc_unthorpe (a town in Lincolnshire, UK which does not have the underscore in its name) put its library on the interweb and found its URL was being censored by its own ISP. It did a similar thing and would look for Sthingythorpe library which does not exist.

Several years ago I posted on a forum which wouldn't allow "saltwater". ;D
