Hi, just started a thread and it automagically disappeared... Well, to prepare myself for retirement, i started a small project about the Carl Zeiss concern and its subsidiary Zeiss Ikon. Just take a look at www.holoceen.nl. I like to have suggestions which way to go. Today I'm scanning and uploading information. Regards, Hans

Welcome Hans! I wondered when you would show up over here on the CC! I have enjoyed your company on the Vintage SLRs group, and am very glad to see you here!
For those here who are just meeting Hans, he is not only a collector of fine cameras, but an accomplished photographer in his own right.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work, and chatting here on the CC.
I'll be taking a look at your site soon, when things settle down a little at my house.
Roy

Roy, by the way here but I saw a Pentax A110 20-40 zoom lens for sale today in "Cash Converters". They didn't have the camera, nor anything else as far as I could see. The lens looked in good condition - but not much use for me!

The site www.holoceen.nl has a bit grown... more than 10GB now, mostly documentation about Zeiss Ikon, Carl Zeiss and odd ends of other manufacturers. Each month I share the statistics with the Zeiss Historica fans at facebook page: www.facebook.com/groups/stevenkoves/Enumerated are about 2100 body and camera numbers, 12000 lenses, and 330 documents. Except compiling numbers, the coming years I will concentrate more on content... Hans

Interesting. It inspired me to go through Z in my bookshelf. I then looked at some of the material on your website, but could not easily find whether you had any of the texts that I have. I noted that Voigtländer from before ZIV and Contax from Japan will not be included, so of the texts I have, there are only 11 that are relevant.
If you wish I can mail you about 3cm. of literature that I have instead of scanning it myself. Alphabetically:

Carl Zeiss/Zeiss Ikon produced tons of material, so I'm not surprised you have a different set... You can mail the texts to me, but I presume you want them back:-)
My scans are 300dpi, 24-bit colour mode.
Any information is welcome!
At this moment, documentation is only available by means of a rather crude search mechanism (as you found out); in the future it should be available close relevant information pages. That will take some time, though.
As you mentioned, Voigtländer and Contax/Yashica are outside my domain, although I de incorporate Carl Zeiss lenses with a Contax/Yashica bayonet mount.
