Does anybody have a camera that uses 620 film and would like to know how to use 120 without respooling the film?

OK, If you notice most 120 rolls now days are plastic. Take a razor knife and trim the plastic down just about to the paper on both ends it's very easy.Put it in the camera see if it rolls around freely if not trim a little more off then shoot away. I have six cameras that take 620 film and have film in all of them that works fine. Its a great way to bring back an old camera to life. and beats re spooling film in a closet.

I've got several 620 beasts in the house, but I generally use Kamera's trim method, though. Saves the nicks and cuts on my fingers! And I find I get generally good results...usually on 100 speed film with a bit of "Rule of 16" guesswork.

Many old cameras were dual format, taking both 620 and 120. If you have one of these, you can re-roll your film from 120 spools to 620 spools right inside the camera. You can then use the film in your camera of choice and reverse the process when finished.

Majicman,
Thank you. The phoenix rises. You have just given new life to a couple of dozen of my old cameras.
