OK, so under normal circumstances I wouldn't add one of these to my collection............. I must admit, however, that I am a BIG fan of vintage science fiction movies ;D That's why I bought this camera. Let me give you a couple of reasons........... and........... It reminds me of two of my favorite movies, that's why I bought it. Paid .99 cents for the darn thing, and I already know how I'll display it when it arrives. The first person to name both movies will receive a gift from me Doug

The first one is easy. ;D The second one is tantalizingly familiar, but it escapes me Roy`

Just noticed this, "War of the Worlds", and "Robinson Crusoe on Mars", and a supplementary film buff question, what or who is the direct connection between the two films?..... This comes from watching far too many Sci-fi films from the 1950's, and way too much Star Trek!

And a further question, the connection mentioned before had a deep connection with Star Trek, ....Why?

Stephen,
You got it! Send me a pm with your mailing address, and I will send you a gift. Could the connection have been the special effects director ? I know the name (B.H.), but maybe there's another connection I missed. He also worked with George Pal.

Yes Byron Haskins worked on a very famous Star trek episode, and he was the Director of both the Hollywood films, being a special effects expert, (about the best in Hollywood). George Pal was the producer of the War of the Worlds, the Time Machine, Doc Savage, When Worlds Collide and the Seven Faces of Dr Lao, he was a special effects man himself, but usually worked with other experts as directors. Despite all the special effects at least his films had stories, which modern re-makes seem to miss out on!

That camera is a lot more stylish than the Canon WP-1 that I have.
