Is it really spring, or is Mother Nature just messin' with us? Still lots of snow in the mounains near-by, but gorgeous weather here on the valley floor. Taken just today beside my front porch. Almond blossom Viv-Kiron 75-150 closefocus zoom f16 1/1000 I'm afraid she's just toying with us

Roy, That is beautiful but oh so cruel. In the past two weeks we have had three heavy snow storms. We could use a few blossoms here. Welcome back, Mickey! Glad to hear that you are better. Wondered where you were!
Thank you Roy. I see I have a lot to learn about the revisions to the site. Sorry about repeating myself. OK. I found delete.

Same thing here. Unusual tough winter. Plum trees are trying ( may I say so ? ) to bloom for about a month, but sticking the nose out of the door, the temperatures do not remind me on spring at all. However, there is hope, fellows. Here one of the first Mejiros, a typical japanese bird ( Me-Jiro = Eyes-White ), who usually comes as a set with the first blooming plum/almond trees as a spring greeting from Tokyo. Brrrrrrrr ... enough winter Mejiro by bokuwanihongasuki, on Flickr The picture taken just with a simple Casio Exilim EX-ZR200. Not the super quality but the high speed mode ( 30fps ) can come handy if trying to capture those kind of shy and ultra fast bastards
