Hi All! As promised, here are a couple of photos of my new Vito and......... I only paid 5 USD for it, and am very pleased. One thing I noticed, however, is that the take-up knob seems to have been replaced by another. It doesn't look right. I also could not find a serial number. There are some numbers on the lens that I can't make out. I'll get the loupe out and see if I can't decipher them. I can't wait to dig into it! I might even re-cover it with a different color. Doug

That is definitely not the correct rewind knob - too small with garish black paint on it. Vitos do not have serial numbers on them but the lens does. Should be on the outer edge of the lens bezel. You can date the lens from hereI see you have the posh version with a Synchro-Compur shutter. Mine has the Pronto shutter.

Are these rewind knobs a standard design on Voigtlanders? Perhaps you can find a wrecked one Doug for a replacement knob.

Doug,
According to the picture in th Vito II instruction manual (courtesy of Butkus) the film advance knob and the rewind knob are almost identical in size and design.
So someone has, indeed, made a switch.

....Better a knob, than no knob at all....they are identical, bar the engraving.
