It must be a year since I purchased a Canon EOS-M camera, I was not happy, so I traded it for a Olympus m4/3, as I previously had. Here is a shot from last fall, a beautiful sunset. Canon EOS-M, m42 lens Auto Sears 50/2.0 @f.8 During the Winter we have no sunshine, it is called Arctic light. It can be beautiful. Olympus m4/3, Industar 26M @f22 20 sec. Funny, the Industar 26M is much better pictures on digital than film. I have been Reading up on photo composition lately, giving more keepers than before. Photo is not all about lens sharpness, but light and careful composition. But lens sharpness is also fun!

The reason the Industar 26M, and any full frame lenses, work on Micro 4/3 so well, is that the sensor only covers the middle area of the image the lens produces, (so called 2x crop), in effect doubling the apparent focal length as well. Any softness at the edge is outside the frame, improving the apparent performance. The Arctic light shot is very good, I doubt it could be bettered with any other lens, very nice shot. I have two M4/3 and they work excellently, not as good as a Pro full frame digital, but look at the cost difference.
