I finally acquired what I consider one of the greatest TLR's ever. I picked up a 1961 vintage Minolta Autocord on Ebay for $110 USD. Although cosmetically challenged, all the mechanicals work (including smooth focusing). I won't post any pictures until I replace the leatherette. I need to take the front off to smooth up the shutter speed selector as well. I've been looking for quite a while having set a fairly modest $$ limit for the purchase. Their availability seems limited and the prices are holding pretty high.

You paid about the price for a good one Certain TLR's are becoming trendy with the good ol' Lomo people and this is driving up the price of certain classic cameras. I think in a couple of years you will be lucky to get one for much less than $200. Your re-skinned one may have an certain attraction if you were to re-sell it.
Looking forward to seeing it.

Well here it is clothed is course seal grain black. The picture doesn't do it justice. The old gal has some paint chips and scrapes but the glass is good, focus smooth and shutter sounds appropriate. Now to run some film through it.
