Halina 35X from China (Hong Kong). Lots of vignetting but otherwise I was quite impressed.

A for Agfa Isola 1. One of the few 6x6 Agfas that won't have holes in the bellows.

Thanks philbirch! It was pretty dirty and got no bids on ebay. I love the weird, odd, and orphan cameras.

Pisco is a brandy from Chile and Peru. Mix it with lime juice, ice and egg white for a rather pleasant cocktail.

Daveh, I just met a fellow from Santiago tonight. He was wandering the Piazza in our little town waiting for a bus to take him to the hotel on the other side and up a steep hill that cannot be walked easily. ...and buses don't run often here. So I drove him there. I will probably see him tomorrow. I will ask him about the drink. Sounds good right now.

David, both Chile and Peru claim Pisco as their own. I'm not sure if the cocktail (Pisco Sour) is exactly the same in both countries. I came across when we did a cruise up the west coast of South America about 12 years ago. We flew into Santiago, but unfortunately didn't really see anything much of it. Then it was in a coach through Central Valley, one of their great wine producing regions, joining ship at Valparaiso. Further stops were in La Serena and Arica.
I loved Chile. It's a great country, with a rather odd geography: 2,600 miles long and about 110 miles wide on average. It is said to have the wettest and driest places on earth. I loved the people.
I had a Pisco Sour (or two) in Lima, Peru. I did intend to have one in Chile, but somehow didn't. We brought (from Arica) a couple of bottles home and still have one to open.
You know, I quite fancy a Pisco Sour now!
Dave.

We were drinking the hotel bar dry literally I liked it so much I bought the rest of the bottle and took it home. The bottle was shaped like a head with a weird face.

I ordered some from Amazon UK. I need to try this stuff.
How did the name Pisco come to be used for a shutter? In my updated searches, it seems that this Green camera may be the only one ever to be photographed. The Green Anastigmat lens may be the only one in existence?! Whoa...
(Later). Nope. Found another one. Oh well...

Presumably the shutter was made by the PIS company - Portuguese (or substitute another P) Independant (or what have you) Shutter (that's a reasonable bet) Company.
By the way, in the "other hobbies" thread I suppose I could include collecting alcoholic drinks. I've got cupboards full of the stuff, from Aquavit to Absinthe, from Spiced to Pussers rum. Someone said a few years ago that I must drink a lot. Of course not, if I did I wouldn't have so many bottles in the collection. Maybe I'll start an A-Z of alcohol.
I have one or two cameras that could go into this A-Z but I haven't got round to photographing them. We thought about new worktops in the kitchen a few weeks ago. It's ended up as a major turnround of things. I'm currently halfway through re-tiling the floor.
Anyway, there are quite a few bits and bobs of interest on here. Perhaps another thread could be an A-Z of photos taken by the various cameras, which one or two have already included. Good stuff everyone.

Now you took all the mystery out of it, Mickey. A bigger Pisco mystery. How did the Muscat grape get from Arabia to Peru? Mickey
