Yes, that does look a lot nicer than my original one = I think the original is good enough. Only a crude paper edition, I will make a laminated one to carry in Pocket.

I had mentioned the value of learning to shoot without relying heavily on AF and metering. Recently I ran across something posted by daveh back in 2010. IMO it is an excellent expression of why photographers may be too dependent on auto functions in cameras and have often lost the skills of operating a camera. It reminds me of a blog posted elsewhere by a young photographer who was marvelling at how one shoots with old manual lenses. He said that it is amazing that you can change the f stop by manually rotating a ring located on the lens, and that you can focus the image by rotating another ring on the same lens. When I read of this fellow's "discovery", I had to stop and think for a moment. This was written by Daveh in 2010: "Guesstimation: it is rather like our ability to look for water. An Aboriginal Australian can find a drop from a hundred miles away because he, or she, knows what to look for. As metering has got more "accurate" we pay less and less attention to what exposure is actually needed and we lose the skill." I must confess that I just set the dial to Auto and the VR on most of the time because I'm just lazy. Self-driving cars? Can't wait to see the drag races in hacked cars.
