Shot this in September 2013. The ruins of this old church are located on the Sheksna River (I think) near the point where it exits Lake Beloye, about 15 miles from Goritzy. This is on the water route linking Moscow and St. Petersburg. I'm guessing in the old days the river wasn't as high as it is now because this seems like like it wouldn't be that great a place for a church.
