I have bought a rangefinder, shoe mount, Diax Photometer type, to go with my Diax cameras, but the Ebay listing description includes a second item, not photographed, descibed as a Munich Turntable viewfinder, with three lenses, and is adjustable for distance correction. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is a Steinhall Munchen,(Munich), a rotary viewfinder, as in the picture below. These are quite rare items, not quite as versatile as the Zeiss/Russian one, but still a nice design. Just have to wait till it arrives..........£5.00 worth........ Stephen.

The viewfinder was branded Diax, (Voss ltd), as was the Rangefinder, as Photometer by Diax, but they were not made by Diax. The Steinheil made viewfinder may have been sold after the closure of Diax as Steinheil's own brand name. Still after the Wray copy of the Leica viewfinder, and the very nice French made Foca viewfinder. Both turn up on Ebay but they are usually too costly! Stephen.

Unfortunatly the sale did not include the viewfinder, just the rangefinder, despite a pretty complete description of the viewfinder, I wonder if they realised what it was and sold it seperately. So still after a Diax Viewfinder, bidding on one fom Germany.....more costly!

I should add the Photometer Rangefinder is in good working condition, and is a genuine Diax Voss production. Nice clear viewfinder window, with yellow spot overlay from the rangefinder. It has the original box, but it is held together with gaffer tape! It should go nicely with the Diaxette. Stephen.
