I had excellent luck using inexpensive Chinese-built adapters purchased through E-bay to mate my Olympus OM lenses with a 4/3 format DSLR. I also found some real accessory bargains to enhance my new DSLR's usefulness. Click on the link below the photo to read about my experiences. Click here to read my PDF file.

I had a problem with my OM lenses on my NEX. The adaptor is thicker than the m4/3, allowing you to accidentally press the release catch on the lens making it drop off when focusing or attempting to change aperture (on non-Olympus lenses). Or even just holding the lens. This happened too many times so I sold them.

Great article, thanks for sharing this. I'm currently deciding which of my cameras to keep, which to sell on Etsy or eBay and whether or not to add a digital SLR to my arsenal. Food for thought.

A DSLR is one way to go and I had several, but since getting the Sony A6000 I have sold all but one (pentax K10d) as the Sony does everything and is a great advanced compact too. I can use my Leica lenses with it for a really compact carry round kit.
