Here's a few shots i took at the "national model steam days" on 3 and 5 inch track and mostly 1/16th scale.I got there early so not everybody was present, the big boys from across the border will be arriving tomorrow. Because there's a camera show tomorrow i'll have to make choices , the cameras will win.
I took the opportunity to test my Frankenfuji fish eye converted X10 much to my satisfaction. The Chinese adapters did help a lot to get the nikon FC-E9 fish eye converter mounted on the impossible 40,5mm special filter thread on the fuji.
Very nice models, where is the track? I build 3.5 inch models and live steam stationary plants. Stephen.
Here"s the google maps link : www.google.be/maps/place/Turnhoutsebaan,+Antwerpenemail@example.com,4.4515764,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x47c3f77713d20a6f:0x532eaca34f1f9357?hl=en the track is accesible the whole year round, anyone wanting to try out their creation is allowed to do so.
Great shots! The sixth one gives the impression of great speed. Hmm... the driver appears to be holding a glass of something between his knees.
The "great speed is created by using a long focal lenght, a slow shutter speed and some panning, the train wich is moving at about 10Km/h seems like it's doing a 100 :D. The glass of bubbelies is indeed there and it has nothing to do with building up steam, just a little celebration of the annual show. Still don't drink and drive even if everything is going on rails !
