I am here, Stephen. Maybe everybody are watching the rugby championship? Or regretting the scores?
FWIW I got a clean Rolleicord V. My first ever Rollei. 1.555.xxx s/N - would that be 1957?

I am still alive and kicking.
Too wrapped up in our federal elections. My party lost. Still in mourning.

Ahh, so i'm not the only one who thinks there's little action on the forum...I have been busy with lots of non camera related things lately. Still i've tryed to stir things up with posting as much as i could. I feel a bit unconfortable with the fact so many of my posts keep sticking on top of the lists, and the fact that most of my latest posts weren't (classic) camera related. I wonder what people might think and that's why i'm holding a bit back, i don't want this forum to become my personal blog. Now that my collection is as good as complete i find it increasingly difficult to spend money on camera's, the few ones i would still like to have are rather expensive, with a house that needs further rebuilding i can't justify buying them. I do pick up what comes along the way at silly low prices but that implies i need space to put it all, or try to resell it with a profit, however neither of the two options are easy... Anyway please let me know if you've had enough of my non camera related posts, if not i'll keep stalking this forum and maybe now and then i'll show some camera stuff.

Few posts, ...surely someone has a new camera? Pictures, comments? Yes I have new camera(s) and shot some films. But nothing in a state to post it here yet. I hope to have some information and images ready by next week. Hannes

Well, I upgraded my most used PC to Windows 10, and what do you think, of all websites, the CC is not working correctly anymore using firefox:-( This post is typed on an (much) older pc, still running Windows XP... but with a fully working CC, so it is the better system?
As autumn is closing in I suspect more people will get inside the house and will take up the hobby more easily. For myself, I just finished the scan of my last Carl Zeiss Werkschrift to get it uploaded to holoceen.nl - late next week it will be available. And I finally found the motor for my Canon F1-new - fitted with a Vivitar Series 1 3,5/70-210, this combination will be just perfect for my fitness program...

CC is running like a charm again - firefox and windows 10 combination; the staff of pro-boards got it right again.

Funnily enough, the CC site has been running painfully slow for two days, and only the CC site, which is normally very fast indeed. It was taking 10 secs to even open the home page, which is now back to instant response. I tried Chrome and the same results whilst it was bad. The web speed is OK here, it is Virgin, and runs at 150/200, and they are about to push it up again for free. The trouble is very high speeds makes you notice when sites are busy or slow even more!! Can't run 10 anyway, as it's still XP, and changing costs a fortune, it is only free from Win 7 etc. I have Win 7 Pro on a netbook, but that would never stand 10 running on it!!

Dear Stephen,
I'm a new kid in town (and only a little older than you) - I joined the ranks in August of 2015 and have only had time to make about 20 postings (as of October 21, 2015). Calm down and relax a bit. (You young Turks are so impatient!) We share an interest in a quietly dying area of history. Yeah, we'll loose folks to falls and strokes and other hard failures. But, on rare occasion, a young mind will join us. We must welcome it warmly, coddle and protect it and give it what knowledge each of us has to offer. This is the only way to assure our hobby will endure. There will be ebbs and flows in our membership and our contributions - we must each ride these tides with optimism. The most important thing each of us can do is to commit as much of what we know to paper or digital files as time permits. In short - keep posting!
With best regards,
George

I'm still here. Various family disasters, car crashes and a new job just meant that I haven't had much chance to post recently. Still hunting the local carboot sales and junk shops. Had some very dry spots in collecting but have recently started to get my mojo back. Got something nice to post about recently so will do that this evening. Regards Matty

Still here but been organising a daughters wedding, creating a seasonal training program(me) for new starters and shift swapping all over the place. Now we're off to Poland for a few days for R&R. I'll look in while we're away. I have a new mini laptop and taking it with us.
