Hi guys!
I just thought of this pretty randomly but I'll put it out there. If any of you are interested in taking a look at used camera stores in Tokyo and are in town, please let me know! I know of a bunch of places, though these are hardly the only ones (Email rio@canonfd.org).
* Camera Box - one of the best used camera stores in the Shinjuku area * Camera Ichiba - find older film cameras and gear like Rolleiflex. * Camera Lemon - on the 3rd or 4th floor (look for a lemon on a sign), mostly older dSLR and film * Map Camera - a multistorey, relatively high-end film and digital camera store * Camera no Kitamura - there’s a used camera section too on the 3rd floor * Lucky Camera - sells medium format and film camera lenses. They’re a specialist of international camera types. * Alps-do - a smallish used cameras outfit on the eastern section of Shinjuku station. Slightly pricey, and the junk bin is really not worth rummaging.

I have heard that there are some outstanding classic camera stores there. Also, Fuji only sells Natura (ISO1600 C41) and Fortia (ISO50 E6) films in Japan. Are there others?

From what i've seen on Ebay there has to be some real nice stuff to be had in Japan often at interesting prices (if you don't go for the "exotics") unfortunatly i don't think i'll be visiting Japan in any short period of time I will be going to Singapore on the 20th of Januari for a few days and then travel on to New zeeland where i'll be traveling around for some two months. Should anyone know of good second hand camera stores in any of those places do let me know !

Thanks for the offer! I am now a regular at jauce.com, and have noticed that often prices there are convenient and almost always quality is way up from typical ebay fare.
A used camera store in Tokyo must be something to behold.
What would be a good season of the year to visit?

Any time of the year, really! It gets hot and humid in the summer, so I might avoid that, but spring and fall are definitely very pleasant.
As for the Fujifilms, lesdmess@, I was able to get a hold of ISO100 film as well; are you looking for specific sizes or formats when you refer to film?

I would think that during the world famous cherry blossom season would be a great time to visit Tokyo. What unique ISO100 films are you referring to - Reala? I shoot mostly 35mm and occasionally some medium format.
