Saturday, January 23, 2016 10AM - view from my Hatfield, Pennsylvania front door. Kind of pretty, isn't it? Same Saturday, 4:30 PM after the first 24 inches of snow have been blown from driveway. Sunday afternoon after shoveling the 6 inch overnight additional deposit. After clearing - views from the bottom of the drive.

It sure is, olddocfox. What a beautiful sequence.
Winter has always been my favourite time of year. Unfortunately I am now too old to enjoy all it has to offer. But I can still appreciate its unparalleled beauty.

Actually it is very pleasant when the snow is that thick, it insulates the house and stops any draughts, and without the noise of traffic etc , plus the quiet if the wind drops, it is very nice.....for a while!

I have to admit .. thats absolutely beautiful.. we dont have winters like that here in Australia, with the exception of our highest mountain peaks which are far from me ... so although I also being very old and past it look back fondly remembering our beautiful summers... Got to admit that is indeed beauty.... just wish I could remember what it was used for......... ... Oh yeah, its a boat
