Hello, I wanted to know if I can use a Rollei XLC 100 flash on a Minolta XE7? My good flash bit the dust. I didn't want to use this flash until I got some opinions. I don't want to ruin the electronics in my camera. It has a voltage of 356 reverse polarity.

Hi, the Minolta XE7 manual shows a Minolta fash 'Auto22' attached. This has a voltage of 240 volts. I think it would be completely safe using the Rollei. The camera was made when all flashes had trigger voltages of hundreds of volts anyway. You cannot use the flash on a modern DSLR without an isolator like the Wein Safe-Sync The manual XE7 manual is here: Butkuss manualList of trigger voltages: Strobe Volts
PS set the camera to X using the switch below the lens release button.

Thank you philbirch. I feel a lot better knowing this won't hurt the camera. Everything is working good. The meter is accurate but a little jumpy in some area's.
