Iceland lived up to its name, large chunks of glacier ice drifting in to the ocean. this is one of the few places on earth where a glacier mounts directly (via a lagoon) in to the ocean. Shot with the P600 wich once more proved to be a fine travel companion

We went there in the summer. The glacial lagoon was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. It is accessed from the carpark by climbing a small hill. I was not expecting such a breathtaking spectacle.

Here's another one from the glacier lagoon, still it'll take a better photographer than me to catch the true beauty of the experience of walking the shores of the lagoon. A similar experience i had beginnig of this year in New Zealand at the foot of mount cook walking in to the hooker valley, but unlike the easy access of the glacier lagoon the hooker valley took me a 4 hour walk.

Just went to the park to try out jet another camera/lens combo. the plan was to photograph some moving water with a long exosure to get that misty look. Problem is winter has started and the lake in front of the castle was frozen, so not much movement here. Next week i'll be gone for a few weeks to Vietnam not enough to escape the Belgium winter, but most likely i'll have good chance to get my moving water shots there.

Haha, Francois, it is cold enough here... the forecast for Vietnam is much better! My son went to Vietnam and took really nice pics, take a look at www.ernstdegroot.nl/reizen/He is also one of the guys behind haalbeeld.nl And to know it is only to get him going as a Delft student (civil engineering). But entrepreneurship is promoted heavily in Delft:-) Have a nice trip! Hans
