Hi all. Just joined here. I've always been a camera tinkerer. Mostly the easy old kodak stuff. Just put my Pentax K-1000 back together so I can go shoot a roll of B&W. This new project is something though ! Bought a Konica 1 cheap because of a sticking shutter. Pulled it all apart and found tons of gunk along with a broken/unhooked shutter spring. Has anyone ever found any info or pics of this camera torn apart ? I'll get it eventually but a diagram would help !

I could find nothing on the Konika 1 however www.butkus.org/chinon/index.html has a free owners manual (Not a repair manual) for the Konika ll which might be similar and might contain enough information to help you. I just went there. I'll spend some time looking through the Konica manuals there to see if the other ones are similar. It's amazing how no one has any info on that camera ! Such a nice solid camera ! Thanks for the help !

Thanks for the help ! I made a post on October 13th about my model 1 The Butkus site does have a manual on the Konica 1. Repair manuals would probably be non existent. There is actually quite a lot of online (Camerapedia etc etc) information about the earlier Konica's including production numbers. If you get into collecting the other models, the III and IIIA are the desirable ones -but the later is fairly expensive with near mint ones going upwards of $200.

I think Konica had a connection with Minolta. Perhaps the same camera was produced with a Minolta name. Mickey

I know the 2 merged but they got out of the camera business. I like this little camera. It's a heavy solid camera like my K-1000. I think I've seen everything on line I can find about it. What I need is to find an image of the lens internally. Oh well......I'll keep it disassembled in a box for now and keep checking around for a parts camera !
