I went to the 10/12/2017 classic camera fair in the hope i would find some Pentax stuff, and so i did... There wasn't anything spectacular, but still i was able to find a Pentax ES, Werra-matic,Beauty light-o-matic, T-2 microscope adapter and a Takumar 55mm 1:1.8. I saw an S1 (to expensive), a lot of diffrent spotmatics (got them all) an SV (bad condition) S1a (broken mirror, diafragm linkage) SL(wreck!). Several camera's i was looking for were on display but in such bad shape i couldn't be tempted to buy them at any price. The ES next to the ESII Werra-Matic, a camera with remarkable features... A faded Beauty :-) i got it for free as it is jammed solid. It started snowing again, think i'll stay in and sort out some camera stuff...don't like snow.

I found a Phenix DC303N SLR body on ebay going very cheap, I knew about these Chinese cameras through a Firstcall catalogue that I had, they were aimed at students. (In 2013 it was £189.99 with a 50mm lens!) This one is in good external condition but only works properly on manual exposure, it was as cheap as some sellers are wanting for plastic rear lens and body caps, so I have put an orphan Pentax - A zoom on the front of it for display and to keep the dust out. Not a classic, I know. It is apparently the same camera as a Vivitar V 3800 & Braun SR2000 PK SLR.

A year ago I was given a Kiev 4 with a Jupiter lens - the shutter is in 'don't want to know' mode but the eposure meter needle works and the lens looks to be in good shape. So I recently started to look for a Kiev body only on ebay. I found one with the Industar lens so if it is OK I will change lenses over. (I wonder what Kiev's engineering tolerances were, will it fit?) I much prefer look of the Kiev without the exposure meter but that was the one on offer.
