Been offered a 'large' collection of film and digital cameras from the widow of an enthusiast, but the neighbour is going to check it out to see if there is anything he wants first!

Well, the cameras arrived today. There seems to be a number of Pentax compacts, two Sony, fairly recent videocameras, a radio cassette. The only things of interest to me are a Petri 6 slr with defective shutter and a 135 and 35 mm Petri lenses to go with it. The lenses aren't great. There was a Ilford 400 b/w partially exposed film with a note on the camera dating from 1986. The film will go back to the seller! Also a working Weston meter with Invercone.
To add to the above. One of the videocameras is quite recent and can record onto a 8cm dvd disc. I charged the battery and tried it out. It works, but the set-up and operation of it via the touchscreen is too complicated for me. Years ago I had a Sony video recorder with tapes. All you had to do with that was turn it on and start recording........... Progress!
