Had a short holiday break, went into a town charity shop, in the window were a few compact cameras and a Pentax short zoom lens (35-80?) had a good look at that but I wasn't happy with the front element that looked a bit discoloured. I said to the guy behind the counter, have you any more cameras, he then went out the back and brought out three big boxes (crates!) of items, mainly compacts and binoculars, but there was a decent looking Minolta SRT 101 which had a 50mm lens on it. I paid £10 for it. There was also a small Minolta still projector in a box there, I am now wondering if it was for projecting 16mm slides and if I should have found out the price? Worth? Having now examined the Minolta camera I see that it was made in about 1968-69 and that the lens is a newer 50mm f 1.7 MD Rokkor, I wonder what the story of that was, all nice and working.
