Not the most exciting camera in the World, but I bought it for the 28-80 AF lens which will go on one of the better bodies that I have to keep the dust out! Seiously, it will get used.
This one was an eBayer's dream. Bought from John Lewis by a doctor, with all original boxes, polystyrene inserts, paperwork, signed for postage included in the price and it is clean and hardly marked at all. Shame it wasn't a F3, but that would have cost the Earth!
Now I have just paid for a Nikon F801 & lens described as excellent+ from a Japanese ebay seller. The price - £3.83 ! I think there has been a mistake, but apparently it is on it's way. Postage was about £27 but I thought it was worth taking a chance, especially with ebay's buyer protection. Looking forward to seeing it, with a bit of trepidation included!
The F-801 arrived this morning, 6 days after purchase & tracked all the way. It is in very good condition, clean & works with 4 AA batteries. The lens is a Nikkor 35-70 which does not have a very good reputation and the autofocus is the noisiest that I have ever heard. I might change it for the 28-80 above, I can check both lenses out on my Sony CSC with an adapter
