My current pocket size camera is a Canon Elph 350 HS. Like your Nikon, it produces very nice images, and is small and light enough to carry around all day. But there are two drawbacks.
1 - It has only the LCD monitor, which is difficult to use in bright light because I see mostly my own reflection rather than the scene in front on me.
2 - Slight adjustments to the focal length are impossible - - it zooms too far with even the briefest push on the control. This is not a problem for subjects that aren't moving, but anything mobile it likely to get away before I'm happy with what I see on the monitor.
