I have more fear of other digital dark areas. All Electronics Depends on electricity, so, in case of illnes, the doctor may not be able to find the Medical records due to Power outage and everything is on a computer?

Looks like a special camera, handsome. Not an easy camera to find. Have you taken any Pictures With it?

Beautiful images. Also great inspiration to learn photo composition. Not easy to expose in snow, most often 2 stop overexposure will do it. If you have any tips to learn composition, we are most interested. I know it is a long Journey, I have just started.

Yes, that does look a lot nicer than my original one = I think the original is good enough. Only a crude paper edition, I will make a laminated one to carry in Pocket.

Not so common viewing so many top classic cameras in one image - awesome collection!
Those fine systems being top class on its own, hard to pick any winner. Minolta XM not so easy to get hold of, the others are more common.
Nikon F2 may be of technical superior craftmanship, it is a nice camera.

Is this the link you are referring to, Mr. Cerf warns digital dark age? If we compare to music, all, almost all digital today. So, the sales of old vinyl music media increase... We collectors may extend film production a bit, as we use old film cameras and buy film. julio1fer: Nice project scanning those old negatives, the quality was good, I enjoy watching old pictures. Later in digital age, solutions to preserve digital data will be forced, by individual and governments. Mr. Cerf also had the solution, which eventually will be implemented at some time. We shall not forget we are in the digital childhood.

May be there is no contrast going digital vs film. Both have benefits and disadvantages. It will always be like this as the technology evolves, old technology vs new, or combined.
In the very end there would be nothing left at all...
I think the digital age will learn to develop methods to save data for the future, whether images or documents. I my short travel through life I enjoy both digital and film. I print in my darkroom images on baryte paper, hoping it will last some years.

I always thought our eye only could see in two dimensions - this is a new experience! Cool.

I think about 90% of faulty cameras can be brought back to life with a modest repair. A seller of a camera had advertised as faulty, but he had inserted the batteries the wrong way... Very nice camera, Contax are kind of classy. Good job rescuing it back from the dead!

The Kilfitt lens is new to me, there are several on the big auction site, also a 90mm macro. Nice lens, I like the out of focus rendering, making the subject stand out. Beautiful flower, the tonal range are top class. I might have to reconsider purchasing some Ilford XP2 again. Arista Edu, a copy of Fomabrom paper?

I thought Tessar construction implied cemented rear element.

Tessar, 4 elements in 3 groups. Here, Olympus XA1, 4 elements in 4 groups: What kind of lens construction is this? Does it have a name like Tessar, or? What reason to exclude Tessar lens in this camera, and what are possible benefits or disadvantages?
