Just found the forum after trying to find info on the Agfa Billy Record. I live on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. Used to do a lot of photography back in the eighties and nineties but got rid of my film cameras in the late nineties having gone digital. At the beginning of this year was hankering after a camera with a long lens but can't afford a dslr. A quick browse on a well known internet auction site revealed a plethora of names that I recognised from the good old days and realised how much I could get for not much money (also how cool "proper" cameras looked compared to digital.) A new interest was born, though I'm not sure if the other half is that impressed. I'm especially like kit from the former Eastern Bloc (my first proper camera was a Zenit TTL, so far I've got Zenits, Prakticas, a FED 4 and a Lubitel 166) but am on the lookout for anything from the fifties, sixties and seventies. As money is a bit tight I've made a conscious decision to avoid dealers and the bay and am concentrating on car boots, flea markets, charity shops and the local auction house but looking for cameras I can use (if with a little bit of work.} Best buy so far is an Agfa Isolette I for £7.50, most expensive is a Praktica MTL 50 (unused in original) for £25. Also, got my long lens (500mm Paragon for £15.) Regards Matty
