Even (horror!) some football games were abandoned or postponed because of it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I think we only abandon football games for lightning or the Second Coming! Of course our guys have a bit more padding on :-)
Happy, Happy,

Indeed!
But they were able to show a lot of heart when the going got tough. I'd say 99.999% of everybody wrote them off after that last interception. Glad I stayed tuned! Always remember the "Heidi Game"!

That's the wildest football game I think I ever saw, or at least the wildest 4th quarter!!
Congratulations to Boise State!!!

Welllllllllllllll while I am not a graduate of the institution I am a dyed in the wool Notre Dame fan. Through good years and bad and the winning, loosing, and weirdness. It may have something to do with the fact that my birth certificate says South Bend, Indiana. I was born a mile or two from campus and grew up in Michigan a mile or two the other direction. My brother, who is a great baseball fan, was born in Cooperstown , NY! (my sister too). You have to admit that it was a great comeback against MSU! I noticed that one of the boards administrators lives in Kalamazoo, MI. My brother and sister are both products of Kalamazoo College, and we all grew up in Niles, MI which is not far away.
Cheer, Cheer etc..................

Any of you gun collectors/shooters out there have an interest in 1940/50 vintage Brno rifles? Bob I don't do Brno rifles, I am more into Italian, USSR, Swiss, and USA target pistols and revolvers. I think I own the strangest looking pistol ever made, the Morini CM 80 Super Comp free pistol. I will try to take a quick picture and post it. Dwight

Curt,
You're right, but I usually go in spurts and starts. It took me a while to get my license (Advanced Class) as I was never great with the code. I think I was more proud of passing my 13 WPM code test than I was of my college degree! Now all that is needed is 5 WPM and my license class does not even exist anymore. I need to take the Extra Class exam, but it is on the round-to-it pile!

Well it's Texas.
I collect S&W revolvers and other target pistols. I shoot a Pardini SP for NRA Bullseye and if I get the chance I shoot a little trap with a Beretta 686 34" Single. I have been involved in model and high power rocketry since I was a kid. my biggest motor flown so far is a J460 and I have a NAR Level Two certification (motors up to L size. I used to be into competitive archery, and I have shown dogs in obedience trials. I am a music teacher in real life and have been teaching orchestra for 25 years, my major instruments are violin and viola. I am struggling with digital photography at the moment and I think I am going to make the switch to a Mac for my "creative computer" I have also been a Ham radio operator (N5WRW) for about 25 years or so.

Nope,
Those babies is ugly!!! I love the one that tries to save the day with Wetzlar on the lens! They probably had a post office box in Wetzlar..... But as the others say, it really is in the eye of the beholder. I have to admit that I am not that fond of cameras with built in selenium meters. There are exceptions (I would like a Contarex Bullseye or a Canon 7) and I am fond of Weston Meters.
Different is Good,

If you want AG1 (peanut) bulbs you can always check the high power rocketry sites. It has been common to use flashbulbs to ignite ffffg black powder for ejection charges. They also use them with thermalite to fire second stages. I have always been amazed by the amount of light put off by a Press 25 bulb, it certainly makes any strobe I have ever owned look really puny! My boss used to tell me about rigging up a big shot with the really big ones (ten or so the size of a regular light bulb) he said it was usually a bit apocalyptic.

Were these lenses from a process camera? They must have been outstandingly expensive when new!

I believe it depends on the lens design. Tessars are supposed to be best 2 stops from open, but Planars are supposed to be best 4 stops down. Large format lenses are generally corrected so that their smaller apertures are good. I am pretty sure given the many parameters of lens design: speed, color correction, distortion, flatness of field, coma, etc. that any lens design is a trade-off of one thing for another. Of course since we are in the real world you have to consider cost as well. I think you would have to experiment on each lens to really know.

My latest user is a Canon 30D. I'm sure that you could find tons of people who would Pooh-Pooh that choice as being a "Pro-Sumer" camera etc. etc. Would I like a top of the line full frame Canon body? Sure.........It would be worth more than my whole collection. If all I could have was my IIf and 3.5 Elmar or even a Pinhole camera I would be just fine. I do like to fool around with stuff and I have a list of cameras I would like to own some day. The worst drivel I have ever read was on some of the Canon lens forums. You can find someone to say that almost any lens is junk!
Happy Days,

I remember reading about "T" stops that were used at one time. They were supposed to represent the actual light transmission of the lens. I don't think they caught on much in still cameras but They did gain some acceptance in motion picture lenses.
