Canon FL 50mm F1.2 in good condition. This is one of the finest fast normal lenses ever made. It's sufficiently sharp to work wide open in available light at F1.2, yet delivers Summicron-like sharpness and contrast at around F2.8 or higher. It works on all classic Canon SLR's bodies (i.e., before the EF lens mount models like the EOS). There are 3 or 4 faint glass scratches on the rear element which will not affect results. Otherwise the lens is in very good condition. Sold as shown with caps. Price: $110 plus insured shipping I accept PayPal and ship worldwide. Thanks, David

This is a Leica IIIa body in very good condition in all respects - no known issues. The shutter has just been professionally serviced and adjusted. The Canon 50mm F1.2 lens is not included in the sale, but I think it aptly demonstrates what a fine compact camera this is! (and I know you guys would appreciate seeing the combination) Price: $250 plus insured shipping I take PayPal and ship to most countries. I do not mark items as gifts or undervalue them on customs documents. More photos on request. Thanks, David!

This is a Yashica J-3, a very light, nice looking and handling M42 classic SLR. Evaluation ... Film transport: Smooth and positive Shutter: Working at all speeds with with apparently correct speeds and no evidence for tapering Film counter: Counts two frames for every advance of the shutter -- annoying, but can be lived with (the film counter can be reset with a use settable thumbwheel) Viewfinder: Clean Meter: Active on both settings. I don't know the accuracy since I don't have a Wein cell. Has potential is about all I can say! Body: Good shape for it's age -- minor scratches and nicks Self timer: Lever missing - could substitute from another body Light seals: Need attention as usual Here's a link to the manual: www.butkus.org/chinon/yashica...ashica_j-3.htmPrice: $15 plus shipping I have a well worn matching case that fits its (not shown). PayPal, check, or money order. Thanks, David

This is an SMC Tak 55mm F1.8 for M42. The condition is very good except that the auto/manual switch is stuck in the auto position (where it's supposed to be anyway for most SLR's). The glass is very clear, clean, and scratch free and the mechanics are smooth. The iris is oil-free and instantaneous in action. Optically this is one of the best 50's ever made. Price: $10 plus shipping. I ship worldwide. PayPal or checks. Thanks, David (david@ociw.edu)

$60 is quite a good deal of course especially from Adorama. One of these lenses from Henry's Camera just sold recently for $200 on eBay ($201 I think it actually was) -- somewhat better cosmetically though. There is quite a range of price so I am open to offers if they are reasonable.
Regarding posting on the site, I've found this forum a little slow moving compared to RangeFinderForum (my usual abode), but I did start a thread on Praktina's recently (of sorts). They are my collecting interest -- or one of them at least. I'll do my part to try and invigorate it a bit -- the overall layout and feel of the "Camera Collector" reminds me a lot lot of successful forms like RFF in their early days!
One suggestion: I know how to use external servers to decorate my posts with photos, but perhaps some others don't. The classified section would work better if it was simpler to attach photos directly.

This is a Minolta SRTMC-II with a fast 58mn F1.2 MC Rokkor-PG lens. This setup is a thing of beauty made in glass and metal. The SRTMC-II was a late SRT series camera body, yet it is a solid, all-metal machine and this one is in near mint condition. The lens is in excellent condition optically, with some signs of careful use cosmetically on the metal parts. The meter is working and accurate. I've not shot with the 58mm F1.2 MC Rokkor, but looking at photos on the Web taken with it, and knowing what a serious company like Minolta can do optically when they create something like this, I have little doubt this will be an awesome lens. Price: $180 plus insured shipping. Thanks, David (david@ociw.edu) (I may unbundle the camera from the lens if there is interest)

Figure 1.4 ounces shipped weight per roll -- less if you want the packaging removed. PayPal or check. Thanks, David (david@ociw.edu)

Here is a good working Canon AE-1 with a 50/1.8. The AE-1 was, of course, one of Canon's most successful and capable film SLR's. This one is in fine condition. The only issue is a missing motor drive cover. Trades or partial trades considered (I need a Nikkor 24/2.8, a good mechanical Canon SLR body, or a K mount SMC 28/2.8). Asking $60 OBO plus insured shipping. THANKS! - David (david@ociw.edu) Here are photos:
