This video describes the Canon olive drab edition of the F-1N, which was made available for a limited run of 2002 units back in 1978.

Any time of the year, really! It gets hot and humid in the summer, so I might avoid that, but spring and fall are definitely very pleasant.
As for the Fujifilms, lesdmess@, I was able to get a hold of ISO100 film as well; are you looking for specific sizes or formats when you refer to film?

Thanks, Bob! I went on a video spree and just made 3 more available, mostly about the AL-1. Comments welcomed.

Hi guys!
I just thought of this pretty randomly but I'll put it out there. If any of you are interested in taking a look at used camera stores in Tokyo and are in town, please let me know! I know of a bunch of places, though these are hardly the only ones (Email rio@canonfd.org).
* Camera Box - one of the best used camera stores in the Shinjuku area * Camera Ichiba - find older film cameras and gear like Rolleiflex. * Camera Lemon - on the 3rd or 4th floor (look for a lemon on a sign), mostly older dSLR and film * Map Camera - a multistorey, relatively high-end film and digital camera store * Camera no Kitamura - there’s a used camera section too on the 3rd floor * Lucky Camera - sells medium format and film camera lenses. They’re a specialist of international camera types. * Alps-do - a smallish used cameras outfit on the eastern section of Shinjuku station. Slightly pricey, and the junk bin is really not worth rummaging.

Hi collectors!
I've been trying to share some of the neat things in the cameras I own. The latest episode is a slow motion capture of the shutter mechanisms in the Canon and Nikon cameras. I also go over the AF35ML (super loud but also neat focusing technology) and the Canonet (super easy to fix, modular!).
I hope you enjoy it!

Hi collectors! What a cool board! I look forward to reading through all your fantastic collections. I'm a 29-year old collector from Tokyo, Japan, and I focus on Canon film SLRs, rangefinders and compact AFs from the 1960s to the 1980s. I decided that in order to keep myself within a reasonable budget, I'd keep that pretty strict! (Though it hasn't prevented me from getting a few Olympus Pen EEs and Rolleiflexes That being said I love the associated memorabilia, brochures, manuals and the like. I'm writing it all up at canonfd.org. If there's anyone one camera that I love to show off, it's the olive drab F-1! I spotted an olive Canon 7 just yesterday but I think that's a repaint so I held off dropping more money into the collector's box!

Welcome, Jim! That's a huge collection you have there! What's the theme or motivation?
