Personally I have enough film cameras and film to last the rest of my life. Especially if my wife finds all the ones I have hidden. Alex does that mean if she finds them you wont last very long? Where do you hide them? If you have problems I can look after any mint condition Leica's or Hasselblads for you and I'm sure she wont be rummaging around Australia for them. Camfiend might also help you out really hiding any treasures - he lives in NW Queensland -absolute back of nowhere. Soooo this one will be safe? But what about these?

While not mentioned I believe the Point and Shoots will die first. Followed by 4/3 and APSC. In the end I predict phones and full frame. Though the full frame may be mirrorless. There will always be a need for long lenses and low noise. The phones will improve on low noise but can't offer changeable or long lenses. Not unless a new technology is created, and who can say what will be invented next? As phone improve, there will be less need for the cheaper cameras. So the performance difference will have to be large to justify the money and the weight. Personally I have enough film cameras and film to last the rest of my life. Especially if my wife finds all the ones I have hidden.

I process the B&W myself. The color I used to take to Walgreens, but now have to send off. So most color is digital these days due to the processing hassle. I am looking at giving color processing at home a try. Soon as I manage to shoot a roll of film, where I don't care if I ever see the pictures. ;-(

Bit of bad news here Alex.. I'm afraid she's after a new pair of shoes, and I'll bet they dont cost $5
Bob Nope. If she wanted shoes, she wouldn't have to ask. And I am much worse with money than she is. If it wasn't for her I'd be broke. Actually she is not a shoe or bling person. She reports that she has 6 pairs of shoes, and one purse. Now she does have a whole lot of earrings. But that is because I know her taste and I have purchased the vast majority of them. (No figuring out sizes.!

Conan I am totally jealous of your ability to find new in box and display, old cameras.
I have taken the no more cameras pledge. I agreed with my beloved that I have plenty. Then today she called and said there is a Ricoh KR-5 Super in a thrift store. Has a couple of flashes and a couple of lenses. Do you want me to bring it home, it's only $5.00?
I love that girl with all my heart!

Bob. 120 film is identical to 620 except for spool size. If you have two 620 spools it is easy to re-spool it. There are plenty of how to details on the net. Or if you only have one, the 120 spool can be trimmed with fingernail clippers to be used as the supply spool.
In the meantime congrats Dennis on your new camera, looking forward to seeing the pics as well.

how did he keep those tyres so clean out in the paddocks??? Bob It was about 100 meters from the shop to where the picture was taken. There was a bit of cleaning before we started. The car was a three year labor of love for his father, and inside and out it is better than new.

I shoot both digital and film. I'm retired and after being afflicted with GAS, I now have more cameras than brains. Sadly, it did not take very many cameras to achieve this.

Now that would be super exciting! To have a one of a kind camera. Especially one that is a piece of major part of world history.

It actually looks as if it had never seen a roll of film. I always wonder where these cameras were during the many decades. I especially like the black enameling. David That would be a shame. To spend its whole life and now the film it was designed for is no longer available. It sure is pretty though. Alex

I am no expert, but if I had to guess, I would go with Dr. Krugener. My reason being the f stop adjustment being a pierced disk in front of the taking lens. I did not see a Huttig with this feature, in my searches.
