Hi... and welcome if nothing else by collecting cameras, think of yourself as preserving a little bit of photographic history for those who in future years will have never seen cameras that actually take pictures using film instead of digital images Bob Good way to think about it.

An old wine cooler is great for cameras. I live near the coast and humidity is a bear this time of year. Those old wine coolers are air tight and the temp/humidity inside is monitored by a 15USD temp pen.

I didn't realize I was a collector until someone told me I had too many cameras and of course I decided to sell some. WRONG!!! Instead I sold a couple only to buy more. So I guess I am a collector.
My collection includes: FUJIFILM: X-A2, Pro1 Olympus: OM-D Polaroid: Cube + (not sure that counts, video), a800 Canon 7, RebelG Fujica AX-5, Pentax K1000, and numerous lens/adapters for all. Not really a lot value in these except the fact they all take really good photos.
Most of my collection except the Fujis, cube and Pentax were bought at yard sales or thrift shops in working condition. I am proud to say they all work and work well.
Anyways, it is great to find others interested in sort of collecting photographic machines, hahah! Hi, ya'll!!!!
