No problem, an easy I.D. O is for Open, L is for lock. Makes this a Vivitar TX or T4 mount lens. Turning it to O releases the mount so you can interchange it for one of the many lens mount systems of the time. Came in 28, 35, 135, 105, 200, 300, 400 as well as several zooms.

According to " The Collector's Guide to Japanese Cameras" yours would be the 1970 version. The one camerapedia shows is the first version from 1966. 1966 version had a Fujinon f2.8 38mm, shutter marked Auto, B, 1/30-1/250, coupled to a selenium exposure meter. The 1970 "New Compact 35" had a Fujinon f2.8 38mm. Shutter was Auto and controlled by a selenium exposure meter. I have the 1966 version.

I could be wrong (and often am) but Canon made an AF lens or two for either the T60 or T80 in FD mount ( I have both but just not in front of me). As far as I recall without digging thru the pile, FD doesn't mount on EOS bodies since the EF mount is much bigger.

Bought this one new back in 1980 for my Ricoh K mount bodies. Made by Toyo in Japan and comes with the Five Star name on the front ring and Toyo caps on the lens. One of my favourites for general shooting for many years. I've since bought several other Toyo lenses and been pleased with all.

Thanks everyone. A bit late answering as usual, spent the afternoon getting fleeced at the local US casino but picked up my eBay items so not so bad. Presents?? Well, in the last week I received 24 boxes from eBay, was gifted a "broken" Kodak Pony (you need to turn and extend the lens for the shutter to fire, LOL) and picked up 2 more eBay boxes today so no more room for presents. Now I need about two weeks to clean everything and try and put all into their own places.

Nope, I stopped keeping track around 1800 and I'm sure I passed 2000 last year sometime. If you run out of room, money or spousal tolerance, THEN you have a problem.

Aha, I beat Mickey and Bob's on holidays, so greetings from a fellow Ontarian, albeit a northerner. Glad to have you here. All new members are welcome, regardless if you collect or just share enthusiasm.

Doug, we must be twins. I'm 6 ft. and at 300 myself. Plus the bad knees. Had both scoped 3x each so far and they want to give me replacements but I'm too stubborn.

Yep. I have two Lordomats (as well as Lordon and Lordonar lenses) and a Lordox, all from Leidolf Wetzlar in Germany. As well, I have 2 Lord IVB and a Lord 5D from Okaya Optical Works in Japan. Just a similar name, but both are excellent cameras. Glad you pointed out the difference, I'd forgotten.

I have two as well as a few other Lord cameras including IVB. Nice cameras. Hard to find the other available lenses. I've only seen one set on eBay in 4 years.
