I was hit once on e-bay a few years ago, that was the 1st and last time, never again on e-bay. The Pentax S1a was not as described, it was junk, for about 50€ I did not make a fuss, so I just let it rest.

Michael, Being away for quite a while, here's further info, The Prime Minister of Singapore is a Hakka, he is now been succeeded by his Son but still holds the position of Minister Mentor, I'm not sure if he has retired himself from that title.
In Malaysia there is a good concentration of Hakkas in and around Ipoh, a tin mining town. Apart from such pockets, most of the Chinese in South East Asia are of Hokkien, Cantonese and Hainan descent.
Up to the 1990s without any new waves of Migrants from China, most of the Chinese in SEA became at least 4th generation and upwards in these part of the world and have taken the nationality of these countries, In Thailand the Chinese have even taken Thai names and in Indonesia likewise they have taken Indonesian names. Even in Burma, the Chinese have Burmese names.
After 2000, the PM of Singapore opened the floodgates to the Mainland Chinese and they now almost outnumber the decendents of the Chinese who came more than a century ago and who have broken all ties with the mainland in the distant past.
To a certain extent the leaders of Singapore base their salaries on GDP, so more people better GDP. Hope you w'ont be shocked, the salary of the Singapore PM is approx 5 times that of the Presedent of the United States, his father the ex-PM has the same salary as him, food for thought, Cheers

My son has indicated to me that once he is properly settled and has his own home, he would like evantually to take over my collection. I hope he will slowly influence his son on the love of photography and camera collection so what I have will last at least 3 generation. Nope, have never thought of making money out of my collection, have been collecting for almost 50 years and have never sold a camera.
