Hey Bob,
I have been looking for a good Kiev 4a for a while now... If you could let me know a little more about the one you have for sale & send me some pictures I might be tempted.
Cheers!
Peter

Sorely tempted by the Fujica ST801 and the Spotmatic but I'm tapped out right now, sorry.

seems i own a single lens reflex again, oh my... joe Lovely! Back to your roots, eh? Check with Trius on RFF to see if he happens to have an extra prime or two lying about. I've sold all my Zuiko primes except for a very nice 300mm, but I don't think that's your type of focal length Gene

I saw a beauty on ebay the other day that was covered with some nice deep maroon leather... it went too high to justify the purchase from an unknown seller, but I've always wanted to have a go at recovering a camera myself. Looking forward to the photo's. Peter

Peter (physiognomy): Sorry. I didn't see your post, or else would not have "stepped on" your inquiry about the Kiev. I'm mainly interested in the Zenit (even though I recently swore I was going to cut down the collection)...but the old "gotta-have-it" chant started in my head the moment I decided to take the Zenit, and the Kiev was still sitting there, and...and............

No worries Ron, no toes stepped on. I know what you mean about the 'gotta-have-it' feeling... My first fsu cam. was to be a Kiev 4a, but I got a deal on a sweet black 4 (well, exept that its leaking light now)... Now I've been looking at Contax IIa's (colour dial no less!) & I need to keep myself under control...
Cheers!

Peter
I'll consider the Kiev as being held for you. This evening I'll take a few photos and post them and then you can give me the go ahead, if you like.
